Former Texas A&M football coach joins BusterSports.com’s insider team
RALEIGH, N.C., May 27 – Former Texas A&M head football coach Dennis Franchione has agreed to join BusterSports.com’s extensive insider team as the network’s lead Big 12 expert. Franchione becomes the final addition in rounding out full BCS conference coverage through a team of former NCAA coaches who will provide engaging, informative and interactive content for passionate college football fans.
Franchione, whose teams won eight conference titles during his 23 years as head coach at Texas A&M, Alabama, New Mexico and Texas Christian, will be joined by host Dave Nathan each week to examine recent results and look ahead to upcoming conference matchups. The tandem will chat with Big 12 coaches and players, banter about hot topics with college football journalists and interact directly with BusterSports.com followers. Franchione Big 12 coverage completes an insider team that consists of former coaches Jim Donnan covering the national scene, Terry Donahue – PAC 10, Tommy Tuberville - SEC, Tommy Bowden - ACC, Glenn Mason – Big 10, and Mike Gottfried covering the Big East.
“I’m looking forward to diving deep into the Big 12 and sharing my experience and opinion with fans of the conference,” Franchione said. “There’s nothing like football Saturday in the Midwest and I can’t wait to build up Big 12 football excitement each and every show we do.”
“Having been in the heart of the beast serving as a college football coach in the state of Texas, we can’t wait for Coach Fran to offer all of his insight to our audience,” said Dan Ballard, CEO of Buster Sports Communications. “His college football knowledge is respected not just around the Big 12, but throughout the entire country.”
