Jim Donnan
Jim Donnan’s long-term success as a college player and coach paved the way to his current career in sports broadcasting. In Jim Donnan's five years as head coach of the Bulldogs, he revitalized a Georgia program and re-established the football team’s greatest tradition of the 20th century — winning. A native of Burlington, N.C., Donnan came to Georgia following a record-setting run at Marshall. He has been named national 1-AA Coach of the Year twice (1992,’95) and District Coach of the Year in 1993.

Stanford signal caller backs up his Coach's support in the Oregon upset.
After Jeremiah Masoli spat some friendly fire about Stanford's fan base, Luck answered with over 250 yards passing and 2 touchdowns. It was pretty convincing supporting evidence for Jim Harbaugh's support and enough to be National Football Expert Jim Donnan's One Thing for this week in college football.

Behind the leadership of Jeremiah Masoli, Chip Kelly has instituted an offensive system that is working. National Football Expert Jim Donnan boasted about Ingram's 278 carries with no fumbles last week and sure enough seemed to jinx him against Tennessee. Well Mount Cody came through for the Tide and the most dangerous threat on one of the best teams in the nation remains a serious Heisman contender. The BCS race might be a little clearer after week 9 and several big match ups, Coach Donnan breaks down the coming weekend.
It's not the time of year to not stay focused. Coaches like Urban Meyer, Nick Saban and Mack Brown are on the cusp of playing for a National Championship in 2009, but it's going to require keeping their teams to take it week to week to remain unbeaten. Coach Donnan and Jeff Dantzler tackle several of the larger games this weekend and break down their BCS implications as the second half o the season is growing shorter.

The more teams are running spread and hurry-up offenses, the more motion and false start penalties we are seeing.
Teams seem to be forgetting about the offensive line as they are scheming their hurry up and spread offenses. National Football Expert Jim Donnan points out this week's One Thing that it is difficult for a lineman to stay in that stance for that long with big, athletic defenses moving around and trying to make the lineman jump.
